Scripps Park and the La Jolla Cove have been a world-wide destination for over 100 years for its scenic and natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and wildlife viewing. The area attracts a 1-million plus visitors annually, and is one of the most photographed places in all of San Diego.
However, Scripps Park’s infrastructure and condition has suffered from decades of deferred maintenance and lack of funds and proper resources from the City — its sad and its a mess. The entire Scripps Park area is our leading priority to develop and implement a beautiful and functional landscape solution that all visitors and the community will be proud of. Perhaps to be undertaken and completed in phases, our plan will not be a quick fix; but our plan will be a comprehensive answer to what’s been needed for a long time — and the time is now!
